North Central District Health Department strives to promote and protect the community health of (Henry, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble Counties). As Director, my goal is for our district health department to be visible to the community and viewed as organization of service that is making a difference in the lives of the people we serve. I want the community to know and understand what the health department does and how we impact their lives on a daily bases. Through AssessmentPolicy Development and Assurance the Health Department;

  •  Prevent epidemics and spread of disease
  • Protect against environmental hazards  
  • Prevent injuries
  • Promote and encourage health behaviors
  • Respond to disasters and assist communities in recovery
  • Assure the quality and accessibility of services

Our work is guided by the Ten Essential Public Health Services.
