Executive Assistant Position:

North Central District Health Department is looking for a dynamic, energetic self-motivated person to serve as an Executive Assistant for the Director. This position serves under the direction of the Public Health Director. The salary is $21.00 hourly with a 37.5-hour work week. This is a contract position. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to;


Executive Assistant Responsibilities:


·  Assist the administrative staff on day-to-day tasks and special projects.

·  Maintain calendars and meeting preparation.

·  Must be able to precisely record, transcribe and dispense detailed minutes of meetings.

·  Create, edit, review and proofread documents using PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Compose letters and documents.

·  Accurate and timely completion of routine daily, weekly, monthly tasks as assigned. Will need to handle sensitive. information with professionalism and integrity while communicating openly and often among team members

·  Provide technical assistance during conference calls, presentations, projections, audiovisual presentations, etc.

·  Maintain filing system.

·  Greet visitors and manage inbound calls. 

·  Other duties as assigned.


Executive Assistant Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Community Health, Accounting, Human Resource management, Computer Science, or related degree and two (2) years of experience in administrative responsibilities such as budgeting, personnel planning, or closely related activities


High School Diploma or . Education in the field will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis not to exceed four (4) years.
